Blistering Spa

Hi,

We are in the middle of a 20x40 pool build with a spillover spa. The spa has been installed and poured some concrete around it when they did the pool concrete footing. 3 days ago they connected the plumbing lines from the spa to the pool equipment pad they installed last week. They also drilled a hole for the spa LED light. I just noticed today that the interior of the spa is no longer flat and has areas that seem to blistering which has us concerned. We have not contacted the PB yet but just saw this today. Any idea what this is? Is a defect? Sun exposure? See pics attached. Thanks.

Usually when a fiberglass pool is put in place it is immediately filled with water to hold it down and give pressure to the floor and walls. I am surprised they did not do that with your spa.

The floor may even out once water is added or it may not. It depends if the dirt and fill is putting pressure on the floor and walls.

You have to work this out with your builder.
