Also, it's expensive. Not just because they charge $40 per gram of CYA-eating bacteria, but because the product only works in warm water with zero chlorine, and it takes days. So you'll have algae when you're done, which you'll have to fight with the SLAM process. That will take days to weeks, and for a pool your size it will probably require hundreds of dollars of chlorine. And if you're unlucky, the bacteria will leave you with ammonia in the water, which will take hundreds more to eliminate before you can even begin the SLAM.
Better to just exchange some large fraction of the water, rebalance your chemicals, and be swimming the next day.
