Better value of chlorine?

Hi
12% LC is $2.00 more per gallon than 10%.
Seems like 10% is the better value but pool store says no.
Confused in Hot Los Angeles.
Please comment.

Im sure someone can do the math but in my head 12% uses less so I don't mind paying more

Its a simple math problem. Just calculate how much you pay per percentage point, and the better value is the better value. That simple.

The only way 12% would be worth a $2/gallon premium over 10% would be if you were paying over $10/gallon for 10%.

If you need more help than the above, the PoolMath app has a calculator for comparing pool bleach prices. Pay attention to size of jug in ounces when making comparison. The new fangled 121 faux gallons fool a lot of folks. A true gallon is 128 ounces.
