Bestway Liner hangers causing skin irritations.

Help! We're having the same issue with our Bestway 20' Round. We set up in June 2020 and it's been up for a year (in Los Angeles), but in the last few months the top vinyl that wraps around the supports to hold the pool up is somehow deteriorating only on the top, so when your skin brushes up or rests on it you get a very bad skin irritation / itch (almost like fiberglass or a rug burn). The area is not in water, just exposed to the sun. Has anyone found a solution to repair it? We really don't want to take it down and put a replacement up. Thanks!

Hello and Welcome to TFP!!

It's the fiberglass in the liner that is irritating the skin. I have see where people take pool noodles, slice them lengthwise and put them over the rail. Zip tie them in place if you need to. This will stop you from touching the fraying spots.

We have the Coleman brand and getting the same irritation. I spoke with the company and they said they had never heard of this. I told them they needed to do some research, it is a common complaint. Their only suggestion was to replace the liner. Seriously....
