Bestway #58390E filter died today. We will go through the warranty process to get a new one. It was only 3 months old. In the meantime, I am going to buy a Intex 26645EG, 2100 Gph Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump, 110-120V with GFCI.

I wanted to upgrade, next year. But now I am forced to upgrade. We use the pool 6 out of 7 days.

Are there any tips that may change the way I work my Water Chemistry, due to the pump and filter change? I do have to figure out the sand side. After that, I think i am back to normal.

Hey N and belated Welcome. Nothing changes except probably for the better. A bigger pump pushes more water. A bigger filter needs less cleaning. In the end you'll be able to run less time for the same amount of filtering, or run the same time with alot more filtering.

Welcome to tfp!
your chemistry will stay the same no matter what filter u have.
The ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry still apply.
Your flow & circulation will likely increase greatly which is a good thing 👍🏻
Here’s some info on sand filter operation to get u ready
If u have any ?s just ask😊
