Pool water looks dirty. Its clear... but dingy.
Pool is still covered. I hooked everything back up last week and got it circulating. As im sure you are all aware, temps in the south (im in Oklahoma are warmer earlier this year) my water temp under the winter cover was 60 and my FC was at 1ppm but 0 CC. That worried me so i immediately slammed it with bleach and its still under slam. Water looked crystal clear before slam but there was a ton of dirt on the floor.
I just bought a new dolphin escape with nano filters and its gotten a workout as ive ran it probably 10 times, each time it was full of dirt. Running the dolphin has dirtied the water and i cant get it to clear up.
I think im having a filtration issue. 2nd season on this setup. I am running a sandfilter / pump combo rated for a 8000 gallon pool. My pressure gauge this year seems to not be working. Ive let pump run for 72 hours straight to try and clear it up. When i backwash after this long run, water is clear coming out of backwash hose... and it should be dirty.... especially if i was having an algae issue and im slamming but its clear. Return jet stream is strong... not acting like a dirty clogged sandfilter would.
Do i need a new sand filter? New sand? I dont think its a algae issue as
