I would like to heat the pool for a get together on Sunday. Pool temp now is 66,solar cover is on. Weather for sat. is high 72, low 58, 60 % chance of rain. When would be the best time turn propane heater on to get the temp to 80+?Thank you for any help.

So now it is a math problem. It takes one BTU to raise one pound of water one degree F.
Assume your heater is 80% efficient, so it can put out 320,000 BTU per hour.

My math comes up with 22000 gallons x 8.33 lbs/gal x 20 deg F rise / 320000. Or about 12 hours.

Plan on 14-16 hours to be safe.
