Best way to deep clean waterline in fiberglass pool?? Tennisballs??

Water line in new fiberglass pool is getting that film it does. I scrub with brush weekly and it doesn’t seem to do much.

Today i I tossed in some tennis balls to help with flying ants and remembered reading to scrub waterlinevwith tennnis Ball. It actually looks pretty good. Hopefully not damaging anything when I use my elbow grease.

Bought some marine polish, but haven’t applied any yet.

How do you deep deep clean the waterline?

In the past I've lowered my water level and used paste wax on everything above the water line. Boy does that make it pretty like it is new again! But the elbow grease gets worn down 3/4 into the task, LOL.

I've also used hot tub spa cleaner... pretty much same results and a whole lot easier.
