If I'm moving from chlorine to salt water and already have the tf pro for chlorine (includes smart stir), would you recommend getting the tf100-salt vs the tf-pro salt?

The only difference between the TF-Pro and TF-Pro Salt, is the salt tests..

I'd just get the Taylor 1766 salt test kit..

Will the tf pro case fit the contents of the tf-pro salt?

I have the smart stir. If it's possible to reuse the old case, would it be beneficial to use that budget on the salt meter?

The 2 reagent bottles from the k1766 salt kit slide into 2 exiting vials and the salt (only) kit fits the TF pro case.

IMO, no. Once dialed in, salt is a monthly test. The digital tester isn't as accurate and may send you back to the drop test on any given test before making a dose correction. So *maybe* it helps once a month and maybe not.

You do not really need the entire K1766 kit. Just the two reagents sold on the TFTestkits site.

Sorry late to the party, if you haven't ordered yet I'd recommend you order the Vial for $6.50 as your paying for shipping anyways and you can have the vial as a spare when the time should arise.
