I did a search but most of the threads regarding pool vacuums were kinda old so I thought I'd start fresh.
And sorry to continually bug you guys but after installing my new EVQ225 variable speed pump a few days ago, the vacuum refuses to move and the pressure at the filter housing is only 12PSI where it was 15PSI with the old single speed pump. I did the vacuum test using my flow gauge and it doesn't even come up to the "minimum" line so it looks like this pump isn't the right one either. My Hayward Navigator vacuum is fine, it's just not getting the vacuum it needs to move so I'm now in the market for a new vacuum that DOESN'T use water to operate.
I'm not looking at battery powered vacuums because they only run for 2 hours. (I live in a desert area and there's lots of dirt and TONS of leaves from my next door neighbor's 3 eucalyptus trees). I need one that'll run for several hours and be able to vacuum leaves and other debris.
Therefore, what would you recommend? I'm looking at this MOOLAN T1, because it's in my price range and it says it picks up leaves, but I'm not sure it'll pick up medium to large sized leaves. The text says "leaves" but it doesn't say what SIZED leaves and the pictures don't really help.
I'd appreciate any feedback as this pool is REALLY starting to get to me. So far I've purchased an EVQ165 variable speed motor which didn't meet my needs (MY fault though.) and the EVQ225 which ALSO doesn't meet my needs (although it works good enough to run the salt cell), so I'm quickly running out of money and I'm EXTREMELY frustrated.
Thanks
Ed
