Long time since I asked a question on here but we've been having some circulation issues and wanted to check with the experts.
Our "The Pool Cleaner" stopped moving and I checked all of the obvious things. When I don't have the pool cleaner hooked up (ours connects into the skimmer directly, we don't have a separate connector inside our pool to connect the hose to) there are no air bubbles from the return jets. When I hook up the Pool Cleaner, there are a lot of air bubbles. By process of elimination, we have ruled out a leaking hose link and a leak in our leaf catcher. The Pool Cleaner is not moving much at all and I have checked the treads on the wheels and for any blockage and also adjusted so that it was on 100% skimmer suction, but still not much movement. So we have removed the pool cleaner from the pool and, for now, will manually vacuum the pool once a week. We have the suction control set at 50% skimmer and 50% bottom drain. There doesn't seem to be much circulating and I don't see much in the skimmer basket, therefore the surface of the pool is quite dirty. The return jets have always been aimed down when we had the Pool Cleaner in there but now that we're not using it, I'd like to make full use of circulation to help keep the surface clean. According to my rudimentary drawing
how should I set the return jets to create the most circulation? Thanks in advance.
