Hi everyone! New member and first time poster here. My wife and I have decided to buy an above ground pool for our family. We are new to pools and want to make sure we get the most for our money. We know that we want an 18’x52” round. We live in the Midwest, about 20 minutes east of St. Louis. We have the typical stores (Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards, etc.) that sell pools in our price range, but we’re not sure of the quality. We also have pool dealers to choose from, as well.
We’ve decided to install the pool ourselves, as well. That is an intimidating task, but all of the installers in our area seem to be booked until late June. We’ve already dug a 20 foot round diameter about 1 foot down in the most level portion of our yard. Getting it level will be the next job. We’re thinking of buying masonry sand to aid in leveling and using it as our foundation.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
