So it is almost time to fill up the pool I have been working on. (http://imgur.com/a/JFZZj) I do have a couple of basic questions however. First can anyone identify this? RLwtBcem.jpg
This is the biggest it will let me upload, but you can find a bigger one in the gallery. My best guess is that it is a drain of some kind. Also this is a picture of one of my returns.

There is a small rubber disc object under the grate that can be loosened or removed. Should I just remove them or leave them loose? Is there anything else I need to install to direct the water for the returns? Thank you so much for all your help.

Deluca...

My only I can say is OMG.... !!! :drown:

A lot of work involved in bringing that pool back from the dead..

The grate in the pic with the blue tape is most certainly an over flow pipe, so your pool can not over fill from rain.

I can only assume that the removable rubber plugs are for when the pool is closed for the winter, but as someone who lives in Texas, pool closing is not something I'm too familiar with.. I would take them out..

Thanks for posting and good luck with your project..
