I use the pool math app and test my water every 3-4 days. I am confused about adding chemicals to bring up my TA and Calcium. Below are my test results. The suggested amount of baking soda to add was 6lbs to bring up the TA, but when I read in the group about this, it says to add very gradually or not at all. What should I do? Also, for the calcium, it says to add 17lbs, but the current reading of 360 shows in the range of the ideal target level and the recommended safe range. Should I add the recommended 17lbs? Thanks for the help.

FC: 3
CC: 0
pH: 7.8
TA: 50
Calcium: 360
CYA: 30

Your CH is fine and the app might think you have a higher target for some reason. You FC is low so you should target 6 ppm and try to maintain that. The CYA is low as well and when you get that up you can run a higher FC as well. The PH is perfect. You basically have my pool results in your pool except that my CH is 950 right now.
FC/CYA Levels

TA of 50 is fine as long as you are NOT using your Trichlor tablets.

If you are using Trichlor tablets then use baking soda to raise TA to around 70.

CH of 250 or above is fine and no reason to add more.
