Backwash vs. Cleaning Filter After Opening (and Some)

Opened last weekend and the water has been rather "less green" this season (and preemptive winterization balls, floater, sponge, etc worked well). Already almost clear after 2.5 days and backwashed once on my first day when the pressure climbed up to 20 or so. I typically clean out the filter / cartridges (and some lube on the oring) after the water clears up then again around late July / Aug, then again during the pool closing in Sept. I know I am overdoing it a bit but just wondered whether I should just backwash rather than disassemble to clean (saves more time for some adult beverages :) ) especially during the season. I will certainly clean everything out before closing though. Thank you in advance for your input!
