So I made a big mistake a few days ago by backwashing my DE filter without shutting the power off, I left the filter running. I realized this after 4-5 quick backwash cycles and stopped. I don’t think I did any damage, but I’m wondering what should I be on the lookout for if any damage occurred? Thanks

Do you have an MPV or slider backwash valve?

Are you saying you moved the valve positions while the pump was running?

It is not that big of a deal but it can damage the valve and not have it seal properly. Watch for leakage from the waste line when in FILTER mode.

Not exactly sure what type of valve I have,, The backwash valve I lift up/down to open/close it. Yes, I opened / closed the valve a few times while the filter was running. Ok I will check the waste line, thank you for responding!
