Back from vacation, very high chlorine

Hi, got back from 10 days at the beach. Had pool covered day before we left and got it uncovered yesterday, so about 12 days covered. Drop tests today show FC at 17. Is that just because it’s been covered so long? Will that drift on down or do I need to turn off swg for a while?
Drop results today:
PH- 7.5
FC- 17, CC <1
Salt- 3450
TA- 80
CYA- 50

When covered the FC loss due to UV drops a lot. So yes it is due to being covered.

I would turn the SWCG off for a day or two. Turn it back on when you get down to 7-8 ppm FC.

Like Marty just said (sigh), it might not drift down if you're producing also. Shut it off and wait it out.

Thanks! That's what I thought but wanted to double-check. And yes, it was wonderful coming home to clean sparkling pool!
