Typically the light is set from below the top of form @ 7” to the top of the light radius. This measurement will ensure 4” of water above the light source if you run your pool level at the middle of the tile line.
Setting the light (bottom of radius) @ 7” above the dirt line will put the light on top of the plaster if your Shotcrete crew shoots 6” of material (minimum thickness for the floor) and 1” of plaster thickness on top of that.
When measuring from TOF down to set the light height you will have more distance to work with after the shell has been shot. You have 16” to work with between TOF and the level of the dirt.
