I have a Cover Pools Save-T 3 automatic cover and my switch has failed. Is there a way to bypass the switch so I can open the cover? The switch is wired as follows:

Purple - Terminal 1
Red - Terminal 2
Black - Terminal 3
Jumper wire from Terminal 1 to terminal 4

On my Coverstar you can use a 1/2” drive breaker bar (long ratchet) and a 1/2” female pipe plug socket. Then you go to the end of the cover roll opposite the motor and ratchet the cover open manually and with a lot of effort. Don’t workout beforehand.

I don’t know if all covers work this way but I expect they they might.

This is the method you have to use if you have a swim party about to happen and the electricity goes out.
