So as fate would have it I drained and refilled 2 pools this week. On both of these accounts the home owner was out of town. So I had to keep going back to check while pool was refilling. Is there a way to fill a huge pool w/o the trickle autofillers that would take 2 weeks?

Normally folks use garden hoses from an outside tap.

I may be misreading your question.

Take care.

Is there a fire hydrant nearby?

Some counties allow you to refill a pool using a local hydrant if you obtain a permit and portable water meter. The hydrant can fill even a large pool in just a few hours. Just be sure to use a shower cap on the end to help deflect the water and not blast off the plaster.

If no hydrant use is allowed, then try multiple garden hoses from as many outdoor spigots as you can find around the house.
