Autofill won't stop filling even though the fluidmaster 400a float is up

When I pull up on the float water stops on the top release but still continues from the bottom of the valve.

Split from Autofill continues to get water even though the fluidmaster 400a float is up
i see that this was discussed in a previous thread. I have run into the same issues. I have done the troubleshooting such as flushing out and have not resolved the issue.

Hi, welcome to TFP! Do you have hard water or high calcium levels in your pool? Have you checked the rubber seal in the top of the filler when flushing the valve?

You can purchase those valves for between $10 and $15. They are a standard toilet valve. Easy install.
