Our pool was installed in late 2014 and brought on-line late Jan 2015. We had the autofill feature installed. however, being the first pool, I did not question the auto fill.

It's a very, very basic set-up w probably less than $20 in parts. Even when I push the float down as far as it will go, hardly any water comes out. Is there an off-the-shelf autofill that is both good quality and works well? If you need some pics, pls let me know?

Thank you

To see if it's the feed line or the autofill valve itself
  • Turn off the water at the shut off for the autofill feed line
  • Push float down on autofill valve to release any pressure in the line
  • Unscrew/remove the autofill valve
  • Turn on the water shut off for the autofill and see how much water comes out of the pipe where you removed the autofill valve
  • Turn off the water at the shut off for the autofill feed line once you complete the testing
If a lot of water comes out, the autofill valve has an obstruction or is bad. If hardly any water comes out with the autofill valve removed, the shut off or feed line is restricted.

Post a pic or two of your autofill setup and valve.
