Auto cover motor kicking on

We just had new ropes and box installed last year. They need readjusted and are waiting for pool people to
Come adjust them. Cover won’t close back as it’s not adjusted correctly.
Switch is in off position but motor
Keeps kicking on trying to close while it is off?

*** Just realized your post is a bit dated. Did they fix your cover issue? If so, did they say what the power cycling issue was?

As a temporary solution...Is your cover on it's own circuit? If so, flip off the circuit until the arrive and they can troubleshoot that too. Or if it's on a circuit with something you need, turn all the power off. Then open the autocover switch cover plate, remove one of the power wires (not the ground if it has one) and put a wire nut on it. Then you can turn the power back on to restore the other items until they arrive. Just remember to tell them you disconnected the wire in that case.
