Attachment for Floor Return Fitting

Does anyone know if there's an attachment for the floor return in the photo? A disproportionate amount of return flow exits through the floor in my pool, and the floor returns point straight up. I'd like to get more flow out the wall returns, and also to point the floor returns to increase the rotation of the water.

Thanks,
Robert

p.s. My pool is not pink. Not sure why the photo came out like that.

Welcome to TFP!

What is the diameter of this floor return?
Do the returns in your side walls look the same and are the same size?
Is this floor return in the deep end of the pool or elsewhere?
Is there a valve at your equipment pad that could be the on/off for this floor return?

There are two floor returns in the deep end of the pool. There is no floor cleaning system, and no valve to divert between wall returns and floor returns. At least nothing above ground. The floor returns are not the same as the wall returns; the wall returns have screw-on eyeball fittings. Was thinking there might be something similar for the floor but I don’t see any threads, so it’d have to be some sort of clip-on fitting.

It appears those fittings are in multiple pieces.
The outer ring with the two raised knobs likely unscrews. The inner ring is covering the threads of the outer ring and the fitting installed in the plaster. There may be a specific tool that fits the outer ring that allows removal.

Can you easily measure the outside diameter of the outer ring?

What you have is a flush mount return fitting, If you remove the retaining ring you can remove the flush fitting and install a flushmount eyeball. There are several different brands but the eyeball fittings are similar. Some come with restricting inserts to reduce opening

There’s one return on either side of the bottom drain. You can see the flow spreading at the surface.

Thanks for the links and pointers, I’ll try to measure and hopefully order an eyeball of some sort. Not sure about changing the fittings under water while holding my breath, seems non-optimal. How would one normally change a floor fitting?
