I have the AquaCal HeatWave SuperQuiet® SQ166R. Recently, I had the high water temp fault code show up even though my pool was 68 degrees so I knew the sensor went bad. I bought one on Amazon that is compatible with the SQ166R. The sensor fit right in but I did have to splice the two wires to connect to my existing unit since the connection that came with the replacement didn’t match. Anyway, it work fine for two weeks after I replace the sensor then I got a code saying water temp sensor open. I checked and the sensor wasn’t leaking so I re-spliced my wires then it ran fine again but for just 3 days. I have the water temp open code again. Besides a defective sensor is there anything else I’m missing here? Or would there be any other reason for my sensors to keep failing?
