Aqua Rite T-Cell-3 showing low salt

Hi!

My aqua rite was producing chlorine as expected and was displaying 2800-3300 salt which is accurate to my salt test strips. Suddenly and overnight, my cell is no longer producing chlorine and my salt reading dropped from 2800-3300 to 300.

Is this consistent with a dead cell ? Serial number is 3E15062-202851 if this helps determine age.

LOW SALT Message & 0 Salinity, 0 Amps​

The salt cell does not have the DC voltage needed to function. The symptoms correlate to either of the following;

• Bad In-Rush Current Limiter (RZ3)
• K1 or K2 Bad solder (most likely suspect)
• Logic Controller failure (worse case scenario)

A replacement board should fix this issue. If you're technically inclined, you might save the existing board by inspecting the solder or by replacing the relay if determined faulty.[38]

I get 300 salt... what does 0 salanity means ? How can I check if I have 0 amps.

Well, the cell had a long live so I just ordered a new one which I will receive tomorrow. Let's start there. Next i'll look at the board. I just hope a cell + board individually is not more expensive than a brand new unit.

Hi Marty -- I just wanted to let you know the new cell did the trick. I now get an instant salt reading of 3000 which is accurate with my salt level. The new cell is also now producing chlorine.

Problem fixed !
