Not sure if this is normal or not. Did a full Ahhhsome purge about 3 weeks ago. Really cleaned up well. After about 48 hours and two wipe downs, there was no more gunk. Water was crystal clear, but I never had time to use the tub. The wife and I used the tub tonight and I pointed out how low the bubbles were and that is how they should look with fresh balanced water. We used the jets the entire time with no foam or bubbles. Got out, added my dichlor and 2oz of Aqua clarity with jets on high. Checked in 10 minutes later and the tub was bubbling like a bubble bath. scooped out what I could, let it sit for a bit and turned jets on again and I am back getting more bubbles.

Starting to regret using this as I wasn't having these bubbles before adding it. Is this normal? Will it go away?

Back in the day all we used is chlorine. Ahhsome came out with it's purge that works great, did try it's filter cleaner but wasn't impressed.

Did you go into the tub with freshly washed suits? Lotions on you bodies? Hot tubs have a way to suck everything off your bodies and clothing and cause foaming. With foam, I would use a pool skimmer to get as much of it out of the tub.

Nope. Same suits we always use for tub only. Like I said zero foam until the clarity was added.

Based on what you say my first thought is that you added too much Aqua Clarity. Let’s go back to basics. Did you mix the small bottle of concentrated Aqua Clarity to 120 or so ounces of tap water in a plastic bottle? If so, you only need 1 ounce of the diluted AC for each 200-250 gallons of hot tub water. In very soft water where calcium is less than 100 ppm you actually can use less. Please report exactly how much you used.

Yes. Followed the directions to the T. In a 1 gallon windshield wiper fluid bottle. Added 2oz to my 410 gallon tub.

I have a Master Spas Balance 8, 465 gallons. I was using 2oz of Aqua Clarity per week, but it made it too foamy. I cut back to 1 to 1.5oz a week, and it's much better. I do think it does a good job of keeping the water and pipes clean. I did my first drain and refill last month, and used AhhSome purge before draining, and very little biofilm was released. But, I have nothing to compare it to. I've never not used it in our tub.

I use just under an ounce in my 350-360 gallon tub, and I run my CH up to around 300 ppm or, else I get foaming with Aqua Clarity.

Trial and error got me to this solution.
