Anyone tried uploading / downloading firmware from Hayward GLX-PCB-MAIN boards?

hello all, I can confirm with firmware/steps from @eePool and @sph01443, I was able to successfully update my GLX-PCB-PRO board from 4.20 to 4.47

Both users in this thread have already provided all the info needed to perform firmware upgrade, only couple of things I would like to add are listed below.

Note: I am just sharing my experience, if you choose to follow any of these steps, you are responsible yourself for whatever you do to your board or to anything else as a result.

1) board must be capable of taking the latest firmware (it says you need version G1-066061 to upgrade up to 4.45 in the Hayward prologic diagnostics PDF). Version is printed on the board at the bottom in faint color
2) I took pics of all the wiring and used marker to mark couple of the wires on my board (that were the same red color)
3) I went through all the settings including the ones in the locked configuration menu and recorded everything on my phone
4) hooked board up to pickit3 programmer, read and saved my firmware first then flashed the 4.47 firmware, plugged board back in the panel and re-configured all the settings and options from the video I recorded earlier

Update: I did not need to remove the board from the panel and did not have to disconnect any wires, I just made sure all the breakers were off so there is no power going to the board. Took the cover off and attached the programmer. I was able to use 4.5v and setup that as input olvtage in the programmer settings (that’s all that was supplied by the laptop) and I was able to read an save the firmware to my laptop).

Again: just make sure you know what you are doing if you are going to try this and don’t get shocked.

VSP should work with 4.20.

What's not working?

You should be able to change the pump type in configuration.

Can anybody share the firmware file?

If you have the pickit 3 programmer I can send the hex dump of 4.47 as soon as my pickit 3 arrives next week.

Netcall, you can't use 4.47 on your board... You have the pic18f2650 so you don't have a "pro"... Your board is likely a GLX-PCB-MAIN

Yes that is right i have a pic18f2650 i am trying to research i have 2.87 on it was trying to get 2.93 or higher if possible for this board

Can anybody help i have the home assistant connected ut unable to toggle on/ off items so trying to update to latest firmare possible i can read and see temp and all but does not update to new status

Post a picture of your board... I've got a GLX-PCB-MAIN but it's only got 2.92 on it

Just came across this post! I have a G1-066008J-1 board which I assume is a GLX-PCB-MAIN. I was wondering if any one knows what's the latest available software version for these ones? Would love to try to update mine!
