I have a 6,095-gallon pool, and I went with the CircuPool® Universal 25 SWG. It does not have a clear cell, but it was under $1,000 at $899. It generates 1.25 lbs/day. I just installed it a week ago. So far, so good. I, too, was overwhelmed with the many options for an SWG. I decided on CircuPool after reading through the forums on TFP.
I had an Intext SWG that crapped out after a year and decided not to get it fixed. Most based on experiences with the Intext SWG that I read about on TFP.
Before I had this pool, I had never worked with PVC. I just watched a few YouTube videos to see how it was done. I practiced with a couple of pieces before I started on the real thing.
