Anybody found a good natural spray for Mosquito's

Picardin is the first CDC recommended repellent in 20+ years. It uses a chemical found in the pepper plant as the lead chemical. But picardin is a synthetic version. It is a chemical. But then anything that works as an insect repellent is a chemical. An exeption is "Bt', Bacillus thuringiensis, an insect disease that you can use against mosquito larvae, trade name Mosquito Dunks. It's not really a repellent. Picardin doesn't have the smell and oiliness of DEET products. I can't even tell I have it on. To me it is MUCH better than DEET. You will need to get at least 20% active ingredient for it to work. Unfortunately it would not be effective while swimming. You'd just have to reapply when you get out. I haven't yet seen any candles or automated sprayers with picardin. But for application to your skin, it's hands down better than DEET if you get 20% or better picardin products. The brand I have used is https://www.amazon.com/Sawyer-Produ...n&qid=1559095838&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1 We used it for "hurricane mosquitoes". The ones that hatch out by the billions after hurricane high water levels.

On this forum, there is an occasional mention of alternative sanitizers. They may work some, but don't ever seem adequate. Most people will get better results with the ones that the CDC has endorsed. The CDC also endorses insect repellents: Zika Virus - Protect Yourself from Mosquito Bites The ones not recommended by the CDC work about as well as the sanitizers not recommended by the CDC. There will always be testimonials of people who feel that they got someting to work. Maybe it depends on the mosquito pressure. Low pressure areas often need no treatment. We have bad mosquitos here. It has to be efficacious to be worthwhile.

It takes about a week to notice a difference and in about 3 weeks probably about 95% of the mosquitos are gone. It is expensive and uses about a tank of propane every 3 weeks. Also buy the attractants they help a lot. They are supposed to clear an acre, but we are an overkill kind of family so we use 2 on our half acre lot. We also have an underground propane tank for the pool heater that we connected them to which means we don’t have worry about 20# propane tanks all the time.

Actually I found a good solution for the table. Essential oil defuser with lemon oil. The blood suckers fly toward us and turn around and leave :) $20 at Walmart and the oil was $8 on Amazon..I think Amazon has cheaper defusers also
