Any reason not to run pH around 7.4 or 7.5?

I currently keep my pH in the 7.6-7.8 range, per TFP recommendations. My water supply has pH>>8 and TA around 130 and I have a SWG, so I have to add about 4oz of acid every day or two.

I noticed on the PoolMath app that at summer water temperatures my CSI would be a bit lower with a pH of 7.4 or 7.5. Is there any reason not to run it at this level, or is so small of a difference that it's not even worth the extra $20/year or so that I'll be spending on acid?

It does not make a difference as long as your CSI is negative. It is more work to run a lower pH. Any pH in the 7s is equally good.
