Happy 4th all!
I’ve attached pictures but basically the threaded connector caps that connect two pipes are starting to crack. I don’t see any way around this except to replace them
But wouldn’t that mean ripping out the pipes they’re on and gluing new pipes together with new caps? And aren’t all my pipes basically the correct length and shape for my system and if I were to redo them I would have to get them pretty much exactly the same as the old pipes correct? Thanks for the advice.

Do you still use that chlorinator? Now would be a good time to change it to a SWG if it was in your plans.

Just takes PVC pipe, primer and glue, and patience to redo the pipes. Cut and dry fit the pieces before you glue it together.

Well technically I do mostly just to add CYA with the pucks at start of season and if I go away (which is not happening this year for obvious reasons). But I have been looking to convert and you’re right this would be as good a time as any. Only thing is I got pool started late and I’d really rather not start redoing plumbing right this minute. You think I could leave the rest and just add the SWG right in that small run where the chlorinator is?

You need about an 18 inch run to install a SWG horizontally.
