I went to check on my pool and found it wasn’t running and ants had built a mound in my pump now I can’t get it to come on I’ve blowed it out the beat I can but can’t figure out how to open the main body up so I can get up in there to clean and does this mean my pump is dead

They got in my breaker box a couple days before I was going out of town and built dirt "shorts" causing all kinds
of problems..
My " hold my beer and watch this " was I killed power and took all the breakers out and pressure washed ( low power electric one ) the panel and all the breakers. Then used leaf blower to dry everything.
Still left it off over night to make sure it dried and it was back to normal..It was the only way I knew to get all the dirt out from around the power bars..Then I sprayed ant spray around the box
of problems..

The fire ants here in TX are beasts. Always destructive and you never feel the first bite until 12 of them are on your foot or leg. Like they blow a whistle once a dozen of them are onboard ready to strike.

One of my favorite things...
Get two 5 gallon buckets and a shovel, fill one up from ant hill, carry to a different ant hill, fill second bucket up then pour first bucket into second ant hill, then second bucket into first ant hill.
Go make popcorn and return to watch the war.
