Antique Hot Tub in need of new heating element or dumpster?

I have what I think is a beach comber or beachport hot tub from the early 80's. I would like to attempt to resurrect it before it meets that saw-zaw. The tub is located indoors on a second floor and replacing the tub would be impossible since the room was built around the tub.

The current heating element leaked and corroded the terminals and then started tripping the GFI.

I have scoured all over the Internet and local stores to try and find a replacement element or heating tube. Nothing. I thought about re-plumbing with a straight pipe but I would still need that manual temperature control and high limit switch.

I also have had wiring problems in the past. Is this a complete loss?

I give you credit for trying to restore the tub but your realization is correct, stand alone tubs have become much more energy efficient and prices are better than ever now.
