I am looking for recommendations on what ingredients to look for/avoid in pool antifreeze. I see Walmart has a great price and it claims is "non-toxic." It does contain water, propylene glycol, glycerin, corrosion inhibitor, dye.

Home Depot has two options:
One contains PG but is glycerin free. Is there any reason to avoid glycerin:

Other contains ethyl alcohol which sounds like I want to stay away from:

Thanks for the input!

I like the brand of RV antifreeze Lowe’s has. It’s under $4 every year.

one by you was out of stock but the other 3 Lowe’s had 64-200 gallons each.

I would stay away from glycerin based antifreeze. Bacteria can use glycerol for energy (food) and it can be converted by chlorine into many different chlorohydrin compounds which are not healthy to be exposed to. Further chlorination does not break them down but makes them more toxic. As with any antifreeze, do not get rid of it by simply dumping it into the pool when you open. You should have a procedure for capturing and disposal.
