I've got an anti siphen valve that feed my auto fill line. I had the PVC line crack with some freezing weather and am going to replace it (it's old and rusty and would be surprised if it's working). Can I use a plastic irrigation valve there? Was thinking something like this: 3/4 in. Manual Anti-Siphon Thread Valve-L4034 - The Home Depot

Seems odd since it just goes to a toilet valve. Under no pressure. But yeah, that's the valve that appears to be on it now.

Since the existing one has a shutoff on each side, couldn't I just use one of these, reusing the ball valves?
Orbit Sprinkler System 3/4-Inch Brass Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FPCBXE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_jbVCyb4V4JVRB

I usually have it off except mid summer.

I suppose the only problem is about the local codes in your area. Many believe this is overkill and if you're doing your own installation a good antisyphon will do. Actually there's whatever pressure in your house plumbing on that line unless they installed a pressure reducer on it. The only other concern would be a home inspection if you were selling the home

Yeah there's pressure in the house line, but none at the pool end (24" below the faucet). All the regulated anti siphon stuff at the main line. Very much overkill. Going to take the existing one apart once the temp goes up some to see if I can salvage the two ball valves. If I just replace the vacuum breaker I should be good to go.
