battling last 2 weeks with a repair to the return jet area of my AGP. Frost / ice pulled the hose to witch the pool light/return jet was attached. A round hole streatched and now oval shaped, causing a leak and repairs to be done. Finalizing my patch work later today.... and fill it up again. Now to proceed to cleaning up that dark murky water. My Taylor K-2006 is depleated without reagents to do testing, so reordered from Amazon....gonna be like 10 days delivery. Question : should I put some liquid chlorine to it now without testing ? 27 ft round...if so about how much to get the process started ? I know its a subjective question with no mesurements....do i toss a couple of gallons in there ? 3 or 4...or just wait till I replenish my Taylor kit and start from there ?

Until you get your reagents and can start the SLAM, I would say to add 5ppm, based on PoolMath, every day. Also, brush and vacuum, pull your ladder if they are in and scrub those down too. If you have leaves/debris on the bottom, scoop out what you can.
