Another small pool build League City TX

I think I just need time to warm up to the change similar to how I went back and forth with the waterline tile after installation but now I really like it. The color of the spray deck is brown. The crew left a bucket with some of the paint for touch ups. I'll snap a pic later of the label on the bucket. I called my grass guy yesterday and apparently there is a shortage of grass due to all the recent rains. Hopefully I can get the yard back together soon.

False alarm! I guess the paint just needed to dry. Loving the color now. You can see the color difference between the deck area and the foundation base. I've only been monitoring chlorine and PH as I plan to do keep up with all the levels when my salt system gets turned on in 2 weeks. Is that a good approach? PB did say we want to keep the PH low in the first few weeks so the plaster can cure.

Do a search for "NPC start up card". That is one of the good starts up out there. For some reason I can't link to pdf files sorry :(

Can I say "I told you so" about the color? I am glad you like it! See I "cheated" and went back to look at the sample pics so knew the color would change for the better!

Gad you were happy with the color of the spray deck once it dried. It looks similar to what we have picked out. How’s the water chemistry doing? Did you stock up on a bunch of bleach until you can get your SWG going?

Thank you all for the kind words! The water chemistry is not perfect but the only thing that's really kind of off is the Calcium Hardness. I plan to swing by home depot to get some hardener. My PB left quite a few chlorine pucks so I've been using those ever since. I'll probably pick up some more if they run out before my salt system gets setup. Two more weeks and it should be ready. At that time I'll completely dial in the chemistry.

Update.
1. New sod installed
2. Dolphin S200 arrived
3. Salt system up and running

I had the PB send out the plaster crew to address more of the white spots. I was home this time and the guy was able to explain why they were popping up. The white cement gets hard sometimes before it gets mixed in with the plaster and brushing the plaster reveals these cement spots. He basically went underwater with a hammer and chisel like object. After digging away the white, the blue plaster became visible. He then filled the holes with plaster and pebbles. It was pretty neat to watch.

Overall a great experience and my PB was awesome throughout the entire process. I finally got the salt level down to normal so now I'm dialing in the chemistry.

Good to hear the white spots are getting taken care of and that you’ve got the SWG going!

Its also nice to hear that you had a positive experience with your PB. I hope to be able to say the same one day.

Thanks for the kind words! Jbrillo, did you get your permit? I had my water tested at the local pool store. Pretty close to the readings I took at home.

Finally got permits at the end of that last sunny week. Been raining since then. Good news is it’s suppose to be sunny next week! So I hope they can start then. Chemistry looks pretty good. You shouldn’t have to do anything with the phosphates, at least from what I’ve read here. Are you still swimming or is it too cold now?

Just checking in. No real issues to report since the pool had been trouble free :). I am going to try and get some good photos this weekend. Here are a few randoms.

That looks AWESOME! I LOVE that water color!! I have a purrfect place for you to show off your pool! Please go to this link and add a couple of pics. I would love one looking down at the steps to show the color at different depths. Then one looking down at the deep end to show off that color. Please tell the brand name and color of the plaster as well as any extra you added to it.

Thanks James and Kim. Here are a few more pictures. My plan is to build a deck behind the lounge chair that backs up to the fence. Also some sort of cover/protection for the pool equipment.
