Ok just did this test. looks like the 128oz of LC raised it 1.5 ppm. wtf am i doing wrong? I just got the pink color to change to clear in 20 drops. so we went from 8.5 FC to 10 FC in 30 minutes after adding that. geezus. It's got to be Darnty chlorine.

The pool is 5 feet in center and about 3 feet deep on each side. It's really small. a) FC was 8.5. B) added 128 LC right before return C) after 30 minutes it raised it by 1.5 to a whopping 10.
 
If you want to define the bleach concentration, take 1 ml of the bleach, add to 100 ml of distilled water. Mix. Take 1 ml of that, add to 100 ml of distilled water. Use that mixture and test for FC. The ppm will be % concentration of the bleach.

Regarding this post. I went to Pench a Penny Pool Supplies yesterday and got two carboys. After they heard my story, they had sympathy and gave me one carboy on the HOUSE! WOOT!

So I started last night, this morning was hopeful with 15ppm of FC. Then I pumped it up this morning and was at 20ppm. Now just added my final 43oz to get to SLAM LEVEL. (says 24 to 27 ppm with my CYA at 60).

So those 16 gallons of chit I bought from Leslies was exactly that. I am going to have a confrontation with them today. Hopefully it goes well. Selling badly degraded Chlorine should be illegal.

Never going to buy anything at Leslies again. I just don't trust them anymore. I'm a Pinch a Penny fanboy now!

I wanted to thank everyone that gave me pointers on my thread above. I have thick skin, so luckly I wasn't a complete idiot w testing! : )
