Folks,
We're ramping up our new pool, temps are rising and the swg is getting a real workout. The RJ60+ feels like it's coasting even with this fairly large pool that barely makes it with the TFP recommended 2X sizing for swg. But I noticed salt levels are being reported low on the wall unit from the very start. I was measuring 3500 ppm and cell was reporting 2900 ppm. Pretty soon it drifted down to below 2800 and switched off on low salt. So I added salt and this time I took it all the way up to 4000 ppm on the drop test. But the display on the unit is still reading 2900. I am concerned this is pretty far off so I called Customer Support at discountsaltpool. Spoke with a guy named John and he was super friendly. I read off display readings to him and in less than a minute he said "I'm gonna send you a new cell". This is what I call superb service but there's more. I bought this unit well over a year ago because supply chain issues were still plagueing us and I was just getting started with the OB. So technically I'm well into year 2 of the warranty and they could pro-rate to the 80% credit for a replacement cell. All I had to pay is $18 for a return shipping box.
I've been thrilled with their products and never needed anything fixed but continued to read great reviews about their service. Now I can say first hand I'm experiencing it!
Nice to see from a locally owned small business!
Chris
PS I think it helped I was able to speak knowledgably about the K-1766 testing, CSI. He also said the drop test is by far the best way. Other than being a satisfied long-term customer I have no connection with this company.
