OK I just did a complete test. I’m on my phone so I can’t see how to attach it but can’t you click on my name and view it?
A couple of notes on it. Ignore the one that said 606 alkalinity obviously. My fat finger hit the six by mistake and it should only be 60.
Also I stayed at a friends last night and I’m just now getting back to the pool so my chlorine is very low for the slam but I have added what I needed to get it back up
I’ve been checking every two hours as long as I am home and not asleepHow often are you testing and replacing FC? Your target should be 20 FC, with a CYA of 50.
Testing error. Use a 10mL sample of water for your testing. Each drop is .5 FC.My overnight chlorine loss test last night actually showed a gain in chlorine by three ppm. I’m assuming that’s not possible and that I was likely just tired last night and miscounted how many drops of the reagent I added
Not likely making your water cloudy. Use a bit of 10:1 Water:bleach solution and scrub it off...likely just residual body oils and sunscreen. Also I am now noticing some small brown smudges on the side of my skimmer that look like dirt, but when I touch it, it feels sort of thick and with a greasy residue. Perhaps that is what is making the water cloudy?
Anyone lnow what that is?

The ladders not even in the pool anymore.Have you removed the ladder and scrubbed it inside and out? Has everything in the pool been scrubbed?
There is only been one time anybody has been in the pool and there was no sunscreen and use. Actually the one occasion of pool use is what started this whole fiasco. It was relatively clean for the week prior to thatTesting error. Use a 10mL sample of water for your testing. Each drop is .5 FC.

The inside of the pool has been scrubbed as best as I can reach it. Obviously I’m not getting in the pool with chlorine level staying this high as well as whatever is apparently growing in thereThe ladders not even in the pool anymore.
I have answered these questions already, but here I go againWhat are you using for your SLAM target?
How often are you scrubbing?
How often are you testing and replacing FC?
How often are you backwashing your filter?
When do you backwash your filter? (How do you decide to backwash?)
The active chlorine level in your pool is less than the water from a hose of a city water supply. If you're on city water then a bath is more "bleach water" than your pool.Sorry not getting in a pool of bleach water
Its at slam levels (20ppm) It has a strong odor and has bleached out eveything it has touched. The active chlorine level in your pool is less than the water from a hose of a city water supply. If you're on city water then a bath is more "bleach water" than your pool.
SLAM Level does not have a strong odor and bleach out everything it touches...It has a strong odor and has bleached out eveything it has touched.
Backwash your filter twice a day, doesn't need to be long backwashes, but you need to get the stuff out of the filter. I would consider replacing the pressure gauge. The comment on reading previous posts, is maybe fair, but there are 5 pages worth of reading.I am backwashing the filter every couple of days. Again as I have mentioned previously I don’t think the pressure gauge works as it never changes so I am just taking it upon myself to do it every couple of days
I definitely appreciate your help, but I would also appreciate it if you would go back and read previous comments instead of asking me to retype all of this again.

That’s a bit more than my bathwater lol. Ima pass![]()
Well I have followed every direction to the tee and this is what I have.SLAM Level does not have a strong odor and bleach out everything it touches...
You're doing something very very wrong if that's the case.
