Same storm visited us.
Power blinked out a couple of times.
Rumble of thunder so I pulled the beach towels in off the loungers.
Then, drip, drip, not even enough to fog my sunglasses.
:sad::sad:
We finally got some late last night too.
I am fine with skimming this morning after getting that much needed yard watering, 2 deg pool cool down & top-up.
We had a lot of thunder, lightening, wind, and enough rain to thoroughly wet everything. I don't think it was enough to soak into the ground, but I'll take it.
It didn't cool off the pool at all. When I was skimming this morning, the water was 89 degrees. That's actually warm for a morning reading.
My water was 92 last night and 86 this morning - I ran my water features all night - I was hoping the rain would have cooled it off a tad more . . . but hey - Ill take it!
Thanks, Ernie! I love it when it looks deep blue. To be honest, I think my camera phone saturates the colors a bit more than in real life. But it's close!
How's your pool doing and that beautiful liner?

Here is a link to the disease I mentioned affecting Knockout and Drift roses. That reminds me I need to get rid of that one plant. The others look awesome now though. A bit of a bloom resurgence this week. Coral color seems to be blooming more now than the pink.
Ozdiver: Thank you for defending me!!! Lol!!! SUZ would never have that kind of problem!!!
Marla: Thank you for thinking of me - I guess! Ha Ha! The gas problem must not have bothered us since I didn't hear anything about it! I go through spells where I don't listen to the local news. This is one of those times. I try to keep up with the national news somewhat, but that can be patchy. I will look up the problem to make sure my blackout yesterday wasn't related. KIDDING, just kidding. (at least I don't think I blacked out yesterday!!!)
I have two new toys!!!! I got both about a week or so ago, and have been wanting to post their pictures. The first one is a super large syringe with tubing on the end. I found this idea under the Coffee Bar on 'Show us Your Test Kits'. They have so many great ideas there regarding nifty ways to store and organize your test kit stuff. Anyway..... as of now, I can't stoop over to collect my water sample from about 1-2 feet below the deep end surface. This works great!!!! I really love it. I just dip the tube into the water and draw the water. It holds plenty for all my tests, and it's so easy to use the tube to fill the test containers. I can add the water by the drop if I need to.
My second new toy is the M500 Dolphin pool cleaner. She's wonderful!!! I definitely have a girl crush on her! I named her Rosie. Do you know where her name came from? A clue - I'm dating myself..... I was going to stay with the Polaris since I already had the pump for it. I knew I eventually wanted one, but I thought I should at least give the Polaris a chance. I woke up about 4 days before the Polaris was going to be delivered and ordered Rosie. I called my PB and told him not to bring the Polaris. Why wait and have both? From what everyone has said, I would not regret it. Already, I'm amazed by how much she picks up, and we aren't even using the fine filters yet. I'm so glad I did this. I just wish I had known to ask for one at contract time. One of our neighbors came over to look at the pool, again, so we showed him Rosie. I didn't think he was going to leave. He had more fun watching her. He even walked around the pool wherever she went!!!
