Stopped working with an igniter error a few weeks ago. Tore it apart to take a look this weekend
On the left side there is a TINY crack in the header that leaked enough to destroy the entire left side of the structure and the corrosion also ate through the igniter mechanism as well ..
Not sure when the crack appeared but there was no visible water on the pad. It might have been cracked from day one or it might have cracked during the freeze we had 2 years ago when we lost power for 5 days ....
The rust pile on the top of the wall is the burner tray support ... the entire support is gone - its like dust ...
Need to open inspection panels and keep an eye on stuff I guess
