Ammonia

Welcome to the forum!
How are you testing your pool water chemistry? Please post a complete set of results from your own test kit.
Not likely the pool has ammonia in it as there is CYA (unless you just added a bunch) and the pH is high.
I suggest you read through Pool Care Basics - Trouble Free Pool and even look at a few of our videos TFP-TV - Trouble Free Pool

Thanks! Tired of wasting money on our pool… excited to get a better handle on things.

I tested two different ways - once with my Taylor kit and then at the pool store. My CYA wasn’t as high in my kit as at the store… these are the pool store results

No visible algae
Algae is microscopic. By the time you can see it, it's way too late.

The red flags such as unexplained FC loss are your warning sign before its too late with a swamp.

Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

If you can prove it's not algae, that buys us time to fiddle with the rest of it Marty suggested above.
