New pool, tested about 9:30 p.m. after day of full sun with temperatures at about 90 degrees today. Am I on the right path so far?

Do you use an SWG in your pool? If so, your numbers look great, but your FC could be higher. FC/CYA Levels says minimum is 4 ppm and target is 6 ppm FC.

Agree with wobberlori
If you "need" something to do with your pool, I would bring the PH down to 7.4. Otherwise, it does look good As long as your FC is the same or higher in the morning (before sun on pool), you should be ok. The CYA is slightly high, but if the pool is in full sun, it might be needed!

Yes, we use a SWG. That FC of 4 is at the end of day just before SWG comes on, and the FC is higher in the morning and throughout the day. The pool is in full sun from about 6:30-7:00 am until 7:00-7:30 pm.

I have some muriatic acid that have been adding in small amounts, but the prior two days were heavy rains throughout both days. So expected to see pH in higher 7s.
