Algae till next annual swimming season

Hi
Too much rain in sydney and the pool is filled with algae again after shocking it one month ago. What will happen if I leave the algae till next warm season when we want to use it again then shock it and clean it for the summer use?

Besides the obvious mess of organic material, smells, and insects attracted to the mess, you can expect organic staining to get much worse and become more difficult to remove. As a reminder, the "shocks" you refer to will do nothing to kill an algae bloom. To kill and remove algae properly you should follow the SLAM Process. If you perform the SLAM Process in its entirety, the water is much easier to manage.
