I have a 21’ above ground pool since 4 yrs. Last fall when we pulled out steps, I found some green algae staining underneath bottom step. I cleaned well and dried before going into storage. I cleaned sgain, with a chlorine/water mixture before putting back into pool the last week of June.
This week I noticed a few green spots, the largest maybe the size of an egg, and so I super chlorinated my pool using pool math and only had strips at that time. I’m still seeing those green spots today but as you can see from the picture, I have a Taylor testing kit. There are more spots so I think I need to slam the pool but to do it correctly, I need to be able to follow my chlorine levels better. Today the testing strip showed 5-10. I followed the directions exactly on the Taylor kit but the chlorine isn’t turning yellow, it’s a pinkish. So now what? The PH side works well and the alk worked well. Help!
Thanks in advance
