I don't have pics -- at work :)

Since last year's hurricane and our pool turning into a swamp, we emptied about 60% to lower CYA.

Refilled -- SLAM'd, scrubbed, vac'd, etc. The top 18 to 24 inches seems to have a yellow tint (stain?) to it. My first inclination is pool surface.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I was chatting with my dad this morning about it, as they recently had theirs resurface. He told me to call Pinch a Penny -- I just laughed and laughed.

If an organic stain chlorine will remove it. If metals, then other processes are necessary.

Have you tried the Vitamin C test? Take a handful of Vitamin C tablets, put them in a sock, crush them a bit, and hold them against the stain. If it disappears, it is iron, if it darkens, it is copper.
