Algae in Waterfall Reservoir

Went on vacation for a week. Shut off my waterfall during this time (shouldn’t have done that...) and came home to some algae. See pic. Should I dump some chlorine in it before turning back on? And after it sits for awhile soaking in all that chlorine should I empty it before turning it back on?

Welcome to the forum!
Sounds like a good plan. I would raise the FC in the pool to 20% of CYA so that when you mix the waterfall in after its 'mini -SLAM' the elevated FC in the pool water will work on it.
