Hello,

I have a 20x40 square pool about 36000 gal salt , sand filter , and I keep getting algae build up on a regular I could brush the pool every day and see some build up , my chemical levels are spot on (testing with strips) , I've tried shocking , algae killer running the filter for days while brushing .
Not sure what else to do ..

Thank you for any help
Ralph

Welcome to TFP! Algae is best killed & removed following the SLAM Process. To perform this process and maintain your pool properly all season long, you need a proper test kit. Test (guess) strips are horrible. Free local testing is no better. We recommend obtaining either the TF-100 (link in my signature) or Taylor K-2006C. Either one is very reliable for residential pool owners.

Follow that SLAM Process and algae will be a thing of the past.

Also be sure to visit our Pool Care Basics for lots of great info.
